ThunderParts was born out of a simple need: to create well-designed, properly fitted motorcycle accessories that actually work on the road – not just look good in photos.

The project started with a KTM 690 SMC-R and a frustration many riders know too well: stock parts are often a compromise, and aftermarket alternatives don’t always meet expectations in terms of quality, ergonomics, or model-specific fitment. This was especially true for mirrors – the OEM ones vibrated heavily, while popular aftermarket options didn’t fit perfectly and wore out quickly. Instead of settling for another compromise, a custom solution was developed – designed for specific mounting points, tested in real-world riding, and refined over multiple seasons.

Over time, a single project evolved into a broader direction: designing and producing short runs of motorcycle accessories created specifically for particular models – without forcing generic, universal parts to fit. The range includes digitally designed components manufactured using 3D printing (FDM), mounting hardware, small functional accessories, and solutions developed based on real user needs for motorcycles such as the KTM 690, Husqvarna 701, GasGas 700 and similar constructions.

Many motorcycle accessories available on the market are imported from outside the European Union – often from the USA or Asia. This usually means long delivery times, additional import costs, and limited availability. ThunderParts was also created to offer well-fitted accessories designed and manufactured locally in Europe – for riders who want practical solutions without waiting weeks for a shipment from the other side of the world.

Current products are made in short, limited production runs. 3D printing is used both as a production and prototyping tool – in the future, some projects will evolve toward components manufactured using other technologies and materials, such as composites or CNC machining. Every product is designed with function, durability, and real-world use in mind – not aesthetics alone.

ThunderParts is a growing project – small in scale, but focused on quality, fitment, and continuous improvement. It all started with one motorcycle and the need to fix a few details. The direction remains the same: to create accessories that we would personally want to run on our own bikes.
